The Worcester Railers Hockey Club has officially set the date for the start of its 2026‑27 campaign, announcing that opening night will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Worcester Ice Center.
As an ECHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, the Railers continue to serve as a developmental bridge for aspiring NHL talent while delivering high‑energy, family‑friendly entertainment to the Worcester community.
Last season the team finished tied for fifth in the league’s North Division, a respectable showing that underscores the club’s steady growth since its founding in 2016.
Community Commitment and Recognition
The Railers have earned the ECHL Community Service Award five times, reflecting their ongoing dedication to local charities, school programs and civic initiatives throughout Massachusetts.
In addition to on‑ice competition, the club is offering 508 Club Memberships for the upcoming season, providing fans with exclusive access to premium seating, meet‑and‑greet events and other perks.
