The Full Count Rhythm baseball club has turned a modest start into a surge, capturing six victories in their last ten outings and finishing last week unbeaten, with four wins and a tie.
Rising Stars Lead the Charge
Samford rising sophomore Cason Hill paced the offense with eight hits across four games, while Zane Brown proved equally potent, striking out nine batters in a dominant outing against the Henderson Flash. Veteran right‑hander Trent Miller added a standout performance, fanning eleven opponents in a win over the Fulton Railroaders.
Abe Goolsby was the catalyst for the Gallatin Longhunters, delivering three hits and two RBIs in their latest triumph, though Noah Bandy’s solid pitching fell short against the Tullahoma Test Pilots. Despite the mixed results, the Longhunters maintain a slim edge in the Volunteer State League.
Currently perched in third place in the Ohio Valley League, the Rhythm are poised to challenge the leaders as the season progresses, while the Longhunters look to extend their modest lead. With a schedule that includes matchups in Cookeville, Madisonville and Columbia, the team’s depth will be tested, but early indicators suggest a promising campaign for both squads.
