The Czech forward brings USHL and NHL draft experience to the RedHawks

Matouš Kucharcík, a 19‑year‑old forward from Prague, Czechia, has committed to the Miami Hockey program for the 2026‑27 season, adding a promising talent to the RedHawks roster.

He concluded the 2025‑26 campaign with the Youngstown Phantoms of the United States Hockey League, posting 16 points across 35 appearances and chipping in a goal and an assist during four playoff games.

The Czech prospect also earned selection in the fourth round of the 2025 NHL Draft by the Buffalo Sabres, a testament to his growing reputation within North American scouting circles.

Internationally, Kucharcík has worn the Czech jersey at the 2025 IIHF U18 Men’s World Championship and contributed to a silver‑medal effort at the 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, having previously logged multiple seasons with HC Slavia Praha’s U17 side where he amassed 56 points in 33 games.
