A Community United Behind the Strikers
Three teams from the Missoula Strikers soccer program have earned a spot at the USYS National Championships, set to take place in July. The squads will represent their hometown on a national stage, hoping to measure themselves against the country's elite youth sides.
The championships will unfold across two cities — Salt Lake City, Utah, and Nashville, Tennessee — with competition kicking off in mid‑July. For the players, the prospect of facing top‑ranked opponents is both a test and a thrill.
Road to the National Stage
Coaches and teammates alike point to a culture built on teamwork, disciplined coaching, and relentless dedication as the foundation of their success. Head coach Peter Ehlers praised the collective effort, noting that each player has embraced the grind required to compete at this level.
Among the standout athletes are Phoenix Hyland, Chloe Cullen, Josslyn Krueger, Eliza Ascher, Rae Hoffman, Fischer Sullivan, Kennedy Peterson and Alex Widaman, each expressing confidence that they can rise to the occasion. Their excitement is matched by a shared commitment to give their all on the field.
Beyond the pitch, the club has launched a fundraiser aimed at easing travel costs for families, ensuring that financial barriers do not keep supporters from cheering on the next generation of talent.
