In the final, Rylan Cambria delivered a complete‑game four‑hitter, striking out 14 batters while surrendering just two runs. The Dawgs rode that effort to a 7‑2 victory over North Buffalo Blaze Yellow, a performance that turned the tide of a tournament that had begun with three straight defeats.
The offense was equally potent. Collin Bragg, Curtis Spielman and Jaxson Swanson each collected two hits, and Bragg, Spielman and Cory Troutman drove in runs, helping the team build a comfortable lead.
Semifinal Showdown
Earlier in the bracket, Spielman again went the distance, scattering seven hits while fanning seven opponents as the Dawgs edged the Southline Shamrocks 7‑3. The lineup was on fire, with Cambria, Swanson, Troutman and Huxley Hale each adding two hits, and Troutman and Hale each contributing RBIs.
The road to the championship was not without setbacks. The Dawgs absorbed a 19‑0 drubbing at the hands of NY Stingers Gold, a 11‑1 loss to Lancaster Legends White, and a heartbreaking 4‑3 defeat to Orchard Park Quakers‑Sutton that saw eight different players register a single.
