A Commitment to Ole Miss
Alvin Mosley, a standout athlete from Fort Bend Crawford High School, has officially committed to play football at the University of Mississippi. He selected Ole Miss over other notable programs including the University of Houston, the University of Arkansas and the University of Texas, citing the deep connections he built with the coaching staff as a decisive factor.
Mosley’s reputation stretches beyond the gridiron. In basketball, he delivered the first-ever touchdown‑style one‑handed grab in Crawford High School history and helped the Chargers finish a 12‑2 season in their second year of varsity play. The versatile star also reached the state championship game, averaged nearly 30 points per game as a sophomore, and was a finalist for the Guy V Lewis Award, which honors the top Houston‑area basketball player.
Balancing Sports and Scholarship
Off the field, Mosley maintains a 3.7 GPA and regularly appears on the honor roll, reflecting a disciplined approach to academics. His mother, Ashley Lewis, has been vocal about the family’s focus on preparing for life after sports, ensuring that education remains a cornerstone of his future plans.
Coach Washington, who has guided Mosley throughout his high school career, praised the athlete’s work ethic and leadership, while longtime mentor Pete Golding highlighted the player’s ability to excel in both sports and scholarship.
