Greenville High School taps Jabronski Williams as new baseball coach

Greenville High School announced this week that Jabronski Williams will take the helm of its baseball program, bringing a blend of local roots and collegiate experience to the varsity diamond.

A native of Troy and graduate of Charles Henderson High School, Williams earned All‑State honors in football and All‑Area recognition in baseball before launching a college career that combined standout performances at Wallace Community College and Alabama State University.

At Wallace Community College he hit .285 with eight home runs, 60 RBIs and 30 stolen bases, and at Alabama State he was named First‑Team All‑Conference outfielder while posting a .298 career average with 13 homers, 75 RBIs and 26 stolen bases.

A coaching journey on the rise

After completing a graduate assistantship at Alabama State, Williams served as head coach at Goshen High School since 2025, where he built a competitive program and mentored numerous student‑athletes.

His appointment at Greenville is seen as a strategic move to elevate the program’s competitiveness and to foster a culture of academic‑athletic excellence.

School officials expressed confidence that Williams’ deep ties to the region and his proven leadership will translate into sustained success on the field and in the classroom.
