The Middle Park High School girls soccer team concluded a historic campaign that saw 13 of its members selected to the all-league squad, underscoring the program’s depth and competitiveness.
At the center of the accolades stands sophomore Rilee Ludwig, who was crowned Frontier League Player of the Year after posting 35 goals and 16 assists, amassing 86 points over the 2026 season.
Statewide Impact
Ludwig’s impact extended beyond individual statistics; she ranked second among all girls soccer players statewide across classifications 2A through 5A, and became the first Middle Park player in recent memory to earn second‑team all‑state honors in the 2A category.
The team’s offensive firepower was amplified by the contribution of her sister, junior Addison Ludwig, who also garnered all‑league recognition and earned all‑state honorable‑mention status, together accounting for 48 goals and 33 assists.
Coach Dino Kaplanis was named Frontier League Coach of the Year, reflecting his guidance in a season that culminated in a league‑record 150 goals scored while conceding only 14.
Playoff Run
The squad’s success translated into postseason action, advancing to the quarterfinals of the Class 2A Girls Soccer State Championships, a milestone that has generated excitement across the community.
Among those honored with spots in the all‑state All‑Star Game were Aylin Rios and Georgia Harvey, while teammates such as Tony DePlata, Jaime Rios, Meredith Davis, Peyton Fosha, Ayza Proebe, Addy Salyards, Sydney Solomon, Hayden Smith, Lulu Turk, Sydney Conroy and Jessica Heid also contributed to the team’s depth.
The achievement has sparked celebration among families, alumni and local supporters, who now look forward to the next chapter of Middle Park soccer.
