Grace Ramel Reflects on Soccer Journey and Future at Beloit College

From Trinity High School standout to biology major, the young athlete looks ahead

Grace Ramel, a recent graduate of Trinity High School in Illinois, looks back on a soccer career that culminated in a regional championship and a school‑record 118 goals.

Her soccer journey started at just one and a half years old in the Lil’ Kickers program, and she quickly became a mainstay on the varsity team, earning All‑Girls Catholic Athletic Conference honors in her freshman, junior and senior seasons.

Guided by Coach Robert Fowler, who brought a renewed focus on commitment and victory, Ramel helped the Trinity Blazers finish the season 10‑6‑1 and claim their first regional title since 2016; she was also recognized as an All‑Tournament selection at the BodyArmor Series.

Looking Ahead to College

Next fall she will attend Beloit College in Wisconsin, where she plans to major in biology and minor in kinesiology and movement, drawn by the institution’s supportive atmosphere.

Ramel leaves a message for current student‑athletes: cherish the high school experience and the bonds formed through sport.
