Early accolades for emerging stars
Among the first‑team honorees are Ohio State standouts Jeremiah Smith and Austin Siereveld, while Julian Sayin earned a second‑team nod.
Smith, a junior entering his third year in Columbus, has already amassed 163 receptions for 2,558 yards and 29 touchdowns in just 29 games, establishing himself as one of the most potent pass‑catchers in the country.
Siereveld, the Buckeyes’ top offensive lineman, posted an 83.5 grade from Pro Football Focus last season and protected the pocket on 810 snaps, allowing just 15 pressures and no sacks.
Sayin, meanwhile, set a school record with a 77% completion rate, throwing for 3,610 yards, 33 touchdowns and eight interceptions while earning a spot among the four Heisman Trophy finalists, finishing fourth behind Fernando Mendoza, Diego Pavia and Jeremiyah Love.
Conference dominance and school representation
The Southeastern Conference leads the way with 21 selections spread across 12 programs, underscoring the league’s depth and national relevance.
The Big Ten follows with 16 honorees drawn from seven institutions, a testament to the conference’s continued production of elite talent.
Texas tops all schools with five players on the list, while Ohio State, Georgia and Notre Dame are tied for fourth, each contributing three names to the prestigious roster.
