The Southern Division showdown, played at South Rowan, was far from a thriller, but the hosts displayed a balanced attack that left 11 men on base across seven innings.
Cole Blevins led the offense with three hits and his team‑leading 15th double, while Drew Pegram added a run‑scoring double in the fifth to push the score to 3‑1.
A fourth‑inning rally featuring Brant Graham, Drew Pegram, Cameron Williamson, Gaige Scruggs and Cole Blevins set the stage for a decisive stretch.
Luke Ponczka was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the sixth, forcing in a run that made it 4‑1, and later delivered a two‑run double in the seventh to cap the scoring.
