Kylah Silver, a 5‑10 guard from Greenville, North Carolina, has officially committed to the Providence College women’s basketball program, pledging to join the Friars for the 2026‑27 season. Her decision marks the latest addition to a roster that has been steadily building momentum under head coach Erin Batth.
A versatile talent
During her high school years at D.H. Conley, Silver helped the team capture two conference championships and earned three‑time Big East AAA/AAAA Player of the Year honors. She finished her prep career with 1,245 points and 450 rebounds, establishing herself as one of the most decorated prospects in the region.
Silver then spent two seasons at UNCW, where she started every game and logged a team‑high 33.7 minutes per contest. She averaged 11.9 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 39.3% from the field and 63.8% from the free‑throw line. Her consistency was highlighted by 35 double‑digit scoring games, five double‑doubles, and a career‑high 27‑point performance against William & Mary.
Coach’s endorsement
Coach Erin Batth praised Silver’s athleticism, scoring versatility and leadership, noting that her ability to play multiple positions and elevate teammates makes her a valuable asset. "Kylah brings a blend of skill and poise that aligns perfectly with our vision for the program," Batth said in a statement.
The coaching staff believes Silver’s arrival will deepen the squad’s depth and competitiveness as the program looks to build on recent progress. Her experience, work ethic and leadership qualities are expected to contribute significantly both on and off the court.

As the Friars prepare for the upcoming season, the addition of Kylah Silver adds a new dimension to the team’s offensive and defensive schemes.
