Warriors Split Doubleheader, Softball Falls to Winterset
The Norwalk baseball squad opened the week with a decisive 2‑0 victory over Des Moines Roosevelt, a game highlighted by a combined one‑hit shutout from Owen Siemens and Kale Wadle. Colton Moore and Xavier Bush each recorded the Warriors’ only two hits, while Ethan Hall of Roosevelt later delivered a five‑inning no‑hitter with nine strikeouts in the nightcap.
Despite the early win, Norwalk fell 12‑0 in five innings during the second contest, a loss that underscored the need for tighter pitching and fielding. The team’s roster also featured contributions from Kenyon Wright, Emma Banks, and Hailey Hook, who each played key roles in the defensive effort.
