The Montclair High School baseball team capped a promising 2026 campaign with a 12‑14 record, a modest but notable step up from the previous year’s 10‑17 finish.
The Mounties’ resurgence was highlighted by individual accolades, as several players earned spots on the All‑Super Essex Conference American Division and All‑American teams.
Among the honorees, Patrick Van Note stood out, earning first‑team American Division and first‑team All‑American honors after leading the squad with a .402 batting average, three home runs, 33 hits and 31 runs scored.
Clyve Hodari, who missed the preseason due to injury, still managed a .279 average, 16 RBI and 13 runs, earning a second‑team All‑American nod.
Jeshua Osorio and Silas Hart also received second‑team and honorable‑mention recognitions respectively, each posting strong offensive numbers.
Looking Ahead to 2027
Asher Seawell contributed as one of the team’s top offensive producers, batting .316 with 13 runs and 11 RBI.
Head coach Jackson Price praised the returning roster, noting that the experience gained will fuel a more competitive 2027 season.
With a core group of returning talent and fresh motivation, the Mounties are poised to build on their recent progress and aim for a deeper playoff run.
