A Deep Look at Tennessee's 2026 Position Groups
Coach Josh Heupel has emphasized continuity as the Volunteers gear up for the 2026 season, focusing on three key areas that could define their success.
The linebacker corps stands out for its depth, with veterans Arion Carter, Edwin Spillman and Amare Campbell all capable of earning All‑SEC recognition, while sophomore Jadon Perlotte and senior Jeremiah Telander are next in line to contribute.
Freshmen Brayden Rouse and TJ White are also expected to make immediate impacts, adding youthful energy to a unit that could rival the best in the conference.
On the offensive line, the interior group is projected to be a strength, anchored by starters Sam Pendleton and Wendell Moe Jr., while the guard spot opposite Moe Jr. will be contested by Jesse Perry and Sham Umarov.
The receiving corps returns elite talents Braylon Staley and Mike Matthews, and the competition for the second outside spot will involve Radarious Jackson, Travis Smith Jr. and TK Keys, with additional depth provided by Joakim Dodson, Tyreek King, Ian Duarte, Carson Whitehead, Jack‑Henry Jakobik and Nathan Roberts.
Other notable contributors such as Jaedon Harmon, Jordan Burns, Donovan Haslam, Gage Ginther, Antoni Ogumoro, Edward Baker and Nic Moore add further options as the Vols aim to translate depth into on‑field production.
