The Atlantic Coast Conference’s preseason accolades are beginning to take shape, and the Wolfpack are well represented. Athlon Sports has announced its initial All-ACC selections, naming six NC State athletes across offense, defense and special teams.
A Rising Legacy
Duke Scott, a versatile back, earned dual recognition, landing on the second team at running back and the third team as a kick returner. His dual-threat skill set positions him as a key playmaker for the Pack.
On the offensive side of the ball, CJ Bailey and Spike Sowells received third‑team honors, reflecting their emerging roles in the backfield. Both players are expected to contribute significantly to the team's rushing attack.
Defensive standout Harvey Dyson was placed on the third team as well, marking his first preseason acknowledgment after joining the program. His performance on the line promises to bolster the Pack’s front seven.
Teague Andersen and Brian Nelson rounded out the selections with fourth‑team nods, underscoring the depth of talent across the squad.
Notably, Scott, Bailey and Dyson also appeared on Phil Steele’s Preseason ACC Team, earning a second preseason honor that further validates their impact.
