Green Bay Gamblers Crowned USHL Organization of the Year for 2025‑26

A record‑breaking season highlighted by community outreach and player draft successes

The United States Hockey League (USHL) announced that the Green Bay Gamblers have been honored as the league’s Organization of the Year for the 2025‑26 season, a distinction that marks the third time the franchise has received the accolade.

Under the leadership of Head Coach and General Manager Pat McCadden, the Gamblers posted a 38‑18‑4‑2 record, securing third place in the Eastern Conference and delivering a .726 home winning percentage.

The team’s home games attracted an average of 3,840 fans, with standout events such as the Wiener Dog Races drawing more than 8,000 spectators and the Teddy Bear Toss collecting 7,880 bears for local charities.

Financial figures revealed that the club exceeded its budgeted profit by over 60%, while also setting new records in ticket sales, merchandise and concession revenue.

Beyond the rink, the organization contributed more than $100,000 to youth sports and charitable causes, including a $150,000 grant to the Cornerstone Community Center.

The season also saw three Gamblers prospects — Zach Wooten, Landon Hafele and Leo Henriquez — selected in the 2026 NHL Draft, alongside alum Cooper Cleaves.

A Community‑Focused Triumph

Glenn Hefferan, USHL President and Commissioner, praised the club’s on‑ice performance and its off‑ice commitment, noting that the award reflects the Gamblers’ holistic approach to building a sustainable and socially responsible hockey program.
