A Global November for the Irish
The University of Notre Dame’s women’s basketball program is set to embark on an unprecedented stretch of international competition this November, with games scheduled across three continents.
The centerpiece of the schedule is the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in the Bahamas, where the Irish will meet Florida, West Virginia and Davidson over the Thanksgiving weekend, with matchups on the 24th and 26th.
West Virginia, a program that boasts a 19‑3 all‑time series advantage over Notre Dame and a deep NCAA tournament pedigree, is widely viewed as the toughest test in the field.
While exact start times have yet to be released, the tournament organizers confirmed on July 1 that the lineup is set, and fans can expect the schedule to be announced in the coming weeks.
Beyond the Bahamian swing, the Irish will travel to Rome to open the 2026‑27 campaign against Villanova, a move that underscores the team’s growing global footprint.
A few days later, Notre Dame will head to Nashville for an ACC/SEC Challenge rematch with Vanderbilt, adding another marquee non‑conference test to the slate.
The upcoming contests will feature star guards Hannah Hidalgo and Mikayla Blakes, who have emerged as the focal points of the team’s offense and are expected to drive the Irish’s push for a deep postseason run.
