Lane Pederson Signs Two-Year Deal with Los Angeles Kings

The 28-year-old forward's contract guarantees $875,000 per season through 2028, adding depth to the Kings' forward lines.

The Los Angeles Kings announced on Tuesday that they have inked forward Lane Pederson to a two-year, two-way contract that will pay $875,000 annually through the 2027-28 season.

A New Chapter in Los Angeles

Pederson, 28, comes off a strong campaign with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the AHL, where he led the team in goals, points and power-play tallies, posting 23 goals and 48 points in 63 games.

His performance earned him a call-up to the Philadelphia Flyers, where he appeared in five NHL games, and his career NHL résumé includes 11 points across 76 games with the Flyers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Vancouver Canucks, San Jose Sharks and Arizona Coyotes.

In the AHL, Pederson has been a consistent offensive threat, recording 134 goals and 278 points in 374 career games, a testament to his ability to translate scoring touch across multiple franchises.

The 2023-24 season marked his breakout year with the Bakersfield Condors, where he amassed 52 points, and his WHL background with the Swift Current Broncos, Red Deer Rebels and Seattle Thunderbirds laid the foundation for his professional growth.

A native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Pederson’s journey from the Canadian junior ranks to the NHL reflects a blend of perseverance and offensive flair that the Kings hope will translate into immediate impact.
