Matt Hirschman captured his fourth victory in the Firecracker 150 at Seekonk Speedway, adding the 11th win of his career and a timely morale boost for him and his PeeDee Motorsports team.
The race formed part of the Whelen Midsummer Championship miniseries and began with Hirschman starting eighth. Early setbacks gave way to a determined climb through the field, culminating in a decisive move to take the lead.
A Comeback for the Ages
Chase Dowling finished second, posting his best result since 2019, while Patrick Emerling secured third place on the podium. Stephen Kopcik, who led the most laps, settled for fourth, and defending champion Austin Beers rounded out the top five.
The performance underscored Hirschman’s ability to rebound under pressure and will be a key storyline as the series heads to Claremont Motorsports Park for the next showdown, which will be broadcast live on FloRacing.
