Matt Richards, who has guided the Southern Maine Community College men's basketball team for 23 seasons, announced that he will step down from his coaching duties, ending a tenure that reshaped the program.
During his time at SMCC, Richards amassed more than 400 career victories, captured six conference championships and led the Sea Wolves to a national title in 2022, moments that will be remembered by players, alumni and fans alike.
