Vikings Host Youth Football Camp at Duluth East High School

Coaches blend skill development with life lessons for children aged 6 to 14

Vikings Bring Youth Football Camp to Duluth

The Minnesota Vikings opened a youth football camp this summer at Duluth East High School, inviting children between six and fourteen to take part in a series of drills and games.

Under the guidance of coaches Blane Tetreault, Rebecca Main and Jason Van Houten, the campers practiced blocking, catching and passing while also learning about organization, standing in line and being a good teammate.

Life Lessons on and off the Field

The staff stressed that the program is about more than athletic performance; it aims to instill discipline, healthy habits and a sense of community that benefits all participants, regardless of skill level.

Parents and volunteers noted that the kids enjoyed trying different activities and that the experience helped them build confidence both on and off the field.

A Summer of Community Camps

The camp is one of nine similar Vikings of Tomorrow events scheduled across Minnesota this summer, reflecting the team’s commitment to outreach and youth development.
