Junior offensive lineman Kade Pieper earned the distinction of first‑team offense, a reward for his emergence as a key piece of Iowa’s line and his shift to the center position to fill the void left by Logan Jones, who was drafted by the Bears in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Fellow lineman Trevor Lauck, also a junior, was placed on the second‑team offense, building on his third‑team All‑Big Ten nod from the coaches in the previous season.
Defensive back Zach Lutmer received a fourth‑team defense slot after a breakout year that included 71 tackles, 10 passes defended, seven pass breakups, 5.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, a sack, a fumble recovery and a defensive touchdown.
Iowa will open its 2026 schedule on Saturday, September 5, hosting Northern Illinois at Kinnick Stadium, with the game slated for broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
