The Medfield summer baseball teams have burst onto the diamond this season, with three of their squads reaching the finals of kickoff tournaments held over the Father's Day weekend, and two of those teams emerging as champions.
9A’s Reilly Tournament Triumph
In a dominant display, the 9A squad defeated Canton twice to win the Reilly Tournament in Westwood, showcasing both pitching depth and offensive firepower that left opponents scrambling.
The 11A team also captured a tournament victory, fueled by standout performances from Jameson Dunn, Micah Berman and Jay Daly, each delivering key moments that swung the game in Medfield’s favor.
Meanwhile, the 12A side advanced to the championship game of the Sharon Father's Day Baseball Tournament, where Josh Parker delivered a complete game, two‑hit shutout that highlighted his role as the team’s ace.
The 12A squad began its final summer of Little League with a walk‑off victory over Dedham, capping a memorable season for a group of young players.
Looking ahead, the 9A team is slated to face Dorchester in the upcoming Sandwich Little League Tournament, promising another competitive showdown, while the 11A team experienced a narrow win over Canton but tasted a tough loss to Westwood.
