Aidan Wojciehowski has been named the new head coach of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville baseball team, succeeding Sam Koenig who guided the program for many successful seasons.
A proven developer of talent
During his six-year tenure at Loras College, Wojciehowski helped the Duhawks compile a 111-64 record, including a program-best 32-win season in 2022 and four consecutive campaigns with at least 25 victories, a feat achieved by only a small number of teams nationwide.
The pitching staff he coached set a school record with 330 strikeouts in 2022 and led the American Rivers Conference with 17 saves the following year, while earning 10 All-Region selections and producing multiple All-Conference pitchers.
Before moving into coaching, Wojciehowski pitched for the Duhawks from 2015 to 2018, earning All-Conference honors in his senior season and posting a 1.62 ERA that ranks fourth in school history, and later served as a bullpen coach for the Lakeshore Chinooks in the Northwoods League.
His coaching journey also includes a summer as an instructional coach for the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Academy, a leadership role in the Palm Springs Collegiate League, and a recent appointment as pitching coach for the Chinooks, where he briefly acted as interim manager.
Off the field, Wojciehowski is married to Reilly Wojciehowski, a recent medical resident who will practice at Medical Associates in Dubuque, Iowa, bringing a local family connection to the campus community.
