Drexel University’s women’s soccer program has unveiled its 2026 campaign, a schedule that promises a rigorous slate of 17 contests, nine of which will be played on the familiar turf of Vidas Field.
Head coach Shannon Grogan, in her inaugural season with the Dragons, will guide a roster eager to make an impact in the competitive north division of the Colonial Athletic Association.
Opening the Season
The Dragons open their regular season on August 12 against Saint Joseph’s, a match that will set the tone for what promises to be a demanding year.
Just eight days later, Drexel will host Holy Family in its first home game, before embarking on a three‑match road stretch that begins with Seton Hall on August 23.
Conference Battles
All nine conference fixtures count toward the overall standings, meaning each point will be crucial as the team navigates matchups against Hofstra, Monmouth, Northeastern, Stony Brook and Towson.
Drexel’s first CAA showdown arrives on September 20 when the Dragons welcome Northeastern to Vidas Field, a game that could prove pivotal in the north division race.
A four‑game homestand begins on September 3 with a contest against Lehigh, providing an early opportunity for the team to build momentum on home soil.
The Road Ahead
The schedule includes a series of road trips that will test the Dragons’ resilience, including a stretch in August that starts with Seton Hall and continues with matches against other non‑conference opponents.
The regular season will culminate on November 1, after which the team will turn its focus to the CAA Tournament, scheduled to begin on November 5.
The championship game of the tournament is set for November 14, a date that will mark the climax of the Dragons’ campaign and potentially earn them a berth in the NCAA postseason.
With a blend of experienced veterans and promising newcomers, Drexel’s women’s soccer squad aims to translate its challenging schedule into a season of growth and competitive success under Coach Grogan’s leadership.
