Drexel Dragons Unveil 2026 Field Hockey Schedule with Ambitious Slate

Eighteen games, home matchups against rivals and a CAA Tournament hosted on campus

Drexel University’s field hockey program has released its complete 2026 schedule, a 18‑game slate that blends early‑season scrimmages with a rigorous conference slate.

The campaign opens with two exhibition matches against Rutgers and Temple before the regular season kicks off with the Conference Cup, setting the tone for a demanding year.

Home field advantage

Drexel will play ten of its games at Buckley Field, including a four‑match homestand in September that pits the Dragons against LIU, Saint Joseph’s, Wagner and Lafayette. Four of those home contests are against Philadelphia‑area rivals, giving the team a strong local fan base.

The schedule also features marquee road trips to Maryland and James Madison University in August, as well as contests against top‑20 opponents such as Penn and Saint Joseph’s, underscoring the program’s national competitiveness.

Head coach Denise Zelenak, now in her 32nd season, continues to shape the team’s identity, while the Dragons will also host the 2026 Colonial Athletic Association Tournament at Buckley Field, with the semifinals and championship slated for November.
