The 2026 Monster Energy Big 12 Football Media Days will open on July 7 at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, marking the unofficial start of the upcoming college football season. The two‑day gathering brings together head coaches and student‑athletes from across the conference, offering a first look at storylines and expectations.
Colorado will be represented by head coach Deion Sanders, widely known as Coach Prime, alongside a group of standout Buffaloes players. The delegation includes quarterback Julian Lewis, wide receiver Danny Scudero, tight end Zach Atkins, defensive backs Ben Finneseth, Naeten Mitchell and Cree Thomas, who are slated to take part in media sessions and interviews.
Media schedule and broadcast details
Coach Prime is scheduled to appear on the main stage from 11:20 to 11:35 a.m. Mountain Time, followed by a coaches roundtable from 12:40 to 1 p.m. MT. In addition, Colorado’s student‑athletes will engage with a range of media outlets, including TNT/Bleacher Report, FOX, ESPN and Big 12 Studios, further amplifying the program’s presence.
The event will also serve as a tribute to the late Adam Munsterteiger, a longtime Colorado beat writer who chronicled the Buffaloes for more than two decades. His contributions to the program’s coverage will be honored during the conference’s opening ceremonies.
Colorado’s season officially begins on the road against Georgia Tech on September 3, before a home opener against Weber State on September 12 at Folsom Field. The early schedule sets up a compelling start to the year for the Buffaloes.
