O'Gilvie maintains a 3.9 GPA while serving as a team captain, demonstrating a rare blend of scholarly dedication and competitive drive that the award seeks to celebrate.
During the recent season she averaged 8.0 points per game, dished out a team‑leading 94 assists — roughly 3.6 per contest — and ranked second on the squad in rebounds with a 6.0 average.
Her most memorable performance came on January 24, when she erupted for a season‑high 20 points against St. Thomas, underscoring her scoring capability and clutch potential.
Head Coach Matthew Strickland praised her leadership, work ethic and character, noting that her influence extends beyond statistics to the culture of the program.
The national award winner will be revealed on September 15, after a voting process that will consider the nominee’s continued impact on the team and the broader collegiate community.
