Utah Valley University’s men’s soccer team has unveiled its 2026 schedule, a plan that blends a full Big West round‑robin with three high‑profile crossover matches against Pac‑12 opponents. The Wolverines will host seven home contests at the UCCU Stadium, while eight road games will test them across the western United States.
A packed slate ahead
The season kicks off with two preseason friendlies on August 7 and 14, then moves straight into its first official fixtures at home against the Pacific Tigers on August 20 and the Central Arkansas Bears on August 24. After a brief stint in West Virginia to meet the Marshall Thundering Herd on September 11, UVU will return to conference play with its opening Big West showdown versus the UC Irvine Anteaters on September 30.
Beyond the soccer pitch, the university’s women’s soccer program announced Carter Johnson as its new assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. Johnson, a Utah native who has logged professional minutes with Real Monarchs, Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC and Rhode Island FC, brings a blend of local pedigree and top‑level experience to the staff.
The softball program is also gearing up for the 2026 campaign, welcoming transfers Michelle de la Cruz from Southern Utah and Ellie Pond from Grand Canyon. De la Cruz, a 2021 Polynesian National Team member engaged to BYU defensive tackle Anisi Purcell, arrives with international exposure, while Pond, a key contributor to the 2026 Mountain West champions, earned second‑team All‑America honors. Meanwhile, BYU softball has secured the commitment of transfer Jaylee Ojo, who will have two years of eligibility remaining.
With the schedule set and new faces on the roster, the Wolverines and their counterparts are poised for a competitive year that promises excitement for fans across the region.
