Ohio State has unveiled its full slate for the 2026‑27 men’s basketball season, a schedule that blends a rugged Big Ten slate with a non‑conference lineup that includes some of the nation’s most storied programs.
Conference battles
The Buckeyes will hit the road to meet Michigan, Iowa and Penn State, while they will host Maryland, Michigan State, Northwestern, Oregon, Rutgers, Washington and Wisconsin at Value City Arena.
Single‑road trips are also set for Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Purdue, UCLA and USC, ensuring the team faces a broad spectrum of styles within the league.
Non‑conference tests
Outside the Big Ten, Ohio State is scheduled to play BYU, UConn, Notre Dame and Kansas, a mix of mid‑major and traditional powerhouses that should provide early‑season challenges.
Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren has said the conference expects a high level of competition, meaning each matchup could have major implications for NCAA tournament seeding.
Coach Phil Harrison, now in his second year at the helm, emphasized the importance of preparation, noting that the team will need to adapt quickly to the varied styles they will encounter.
Looking ahead
Game times have not yet been announced, but the university plans to release the schedule details in the coming weeks, giving fans a clearer picture of travel logistics and broadcast windows.
