The Oregon State Beavers baseball program is set to travel to Nevada next spring for a marquee event that will bring together some of the nation’s top college teams.
The Live Like Lou Las Vegas College Baseball Classic, scheduled for March 2027, will feature a four‑team round robin that includes Arizona State, Iowa and Louisiana State, while the Beavers will also play a standalone matchup against the BYU Cougars on March 8, 2027.
Historic Rivalries Add Spice
Arizona State holds a 56‑47 all‑time advantage over Oregon State, yet the Beavers have taken the last four meetings, while Oregon State and Iowa split their past two seasons with a tie in 2025 and a win in 2026. LSU, which eliminated Oregon State from the 2017 College World Series, leads the series 6‑3 since 2012, and the Beavers have won eleven of the last twelve contests against BYU, their most recent encounter dating back to 2021.
All games will be staged at Las Vegas Ballpark in Summerlin, the same venue that hosts the Las Vegas Aviators of the Pacific Coast League, providing a state‑of‑the‑art backdrop for the competition.
Ticket information for the tournament is available online through the Live Like Lou promotional website, where fans can secure seats for each of the scheduled contests.
Beyond the on‑field action, the event underscores the growing partnership between collegiate programs and regional sports venues, highlighting the Beavers’ commitment to expanding their national footprint.
