The 2026 high school baseball season in Wisconsin has drawn to a close, and fans are now casting their ballots to determine the Player of the Year.
A Season of Standouts
Among the standout candidates, Jack Brenner of Fond du Lac led his squad to a third‑place finish in the Fox Valley Association and finished the year with a 21‑9 record. Cayden Burtness from Pewaukee helped his team capture the Woodland Conference West Division title and a WIAA Division 2 state championship. Ira Hilbelink of Cedar Grove‑Belgium guided his club to a Big East Conference championship and a Division 3 state title.
Other notable performances include Kaden Kress of Kaukauna, who anchored a Division 1 state championship run with a 24‑7 record, and Landon Lassahn from Verona, who secured a Big Eight Conference title and finished 21‑9. Parker Lawson of Bay Port contributed to a Fox River Classic Conference crown and a sectional‑final appearance, while Maddux Lessard of Muskego posted a Classic 8 title and a 25‑5 record.
The poll, which is open to all fans, aims to celebrate these athletes and foster excitement around high school sports. Voting remains open until July 16, providing a fun way for the community to show support for their favorite players.
