Soccer Forward Fest Ignites Local Youth
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida teamed up with the Sporting JAX Foundation to stage Soccer Forward Fest, a day‑long celebration that blended sport, culture and youth development.
Drawing on the buzz surrounding the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, the festival transformed a local field into a vibrant arena where children could sharpen their soccer skills while immersing themselves in global football traditions.
The program combined a hands‑on skills clinic led by volunteer coaches, a friendly tournament that pitted neighborhood teams against one another, and a series of cultural activities that highlighted the diverse backgrounds of the participants.
Beyond the matches, the event offered a communal lunch that gave the youngsters a chance to refuel and mingle, followed by a World Cup watch party where they gathered around screens to experience the excitement of international competition together.
