Chattanooga FC will welcome Inter Miami CF II to Erlanger Park on July 4 at 7:30 p.m., offering a rare Independence Day showdown in the city’s soccer calendar.
The fixture arrives after the Chattanooga side enjoyed its most successful June in MLS Next Pro history, climbing to 28 points and narrowing the gap to league leaders Austin II, who sit on 37.
Inter Miami CF II, by contrast, have managed just five points so far this campaign, underscoring the disparity between the two squads.
A Unique Setting
Defender Tate Robertson praised Erlanger Park as a beautiful venue that differs markedly from the team’s usual home of Finley Stadium, noting the chance to bring together baseball and soccer fans alike.
Mattias Hanchard, also a defender, described Chattanooga as a true soccer city, recalling the recent visit of the Spanish national team and the United States’ recent triumph, and he expects the match to generate an electric atmosphere.
Both players emphasized that a strong turnout could further cement the sport’s foothold in the community, turning the holiday match into a catalyst for future growth.
