A new chapter for Edgewood basketball
Matt Wadsworth, who spent seven seasons at Edgewood, is leaving the program to become the new basketball coach at Hauser, replacing Trent Moorhead, who has accepted a similar role at Center Grove. During his tenure he improved the school’s youth development initiatives and oversaw four winning seasons.
Under Moorhead’s guidance, Hauser enjoyed its most successful two‑year stretch since 2006, advancing to the semi‑state tournament in both seasons and setting a high bar for the program’s next leader.
Edgewood’s athletic administration has announced that it will begin a search for a new head coach, with the goal of appointing someone to lead the program before the start of the next academic year in June.
The moves reflect a broader realignment across several local districts, including Center Grove and South Ripley, each navigating fresh leadership in their own right.
