The Green Hornets 12U Giants concluded their spring campaign with a flawless 12‑0 record, a milestone that placed them among the most dominant youth teams in the region.
Their final test came at Kinder Farm Park on June 15, where they faced the Cubs in a high‑scoring championship showdown that ended 19‑10 in favor of the Giants.
The victory was not just a testament to raw talent but also to the steady guidance of coaches Sean Murphy and Jon Wendall, whose strategic adjustments kept the team sharp throughout the season.
Twelve players formed the core of the squad, including Luca Kohlmier, Jack Sperry, Max Gronowski, Andrew Shoemaker, Sterling Murphy, Max Wilser, Luke McClain, Kyle Fink, Teddy Wilser, Chris Sperry, Calvin Schwabenbauer, Tucker Wendall and Joseph Brutvan, each contributing to the team’s depth and resilience.
Fans and parents gathered on the sidelines, cheering every swing and celebrating the culmination of months of early‑morning practices, travel games and community support that defined the Giants’ journey.
