A Neon‑Lit Celebration at Sahlen Field
Cosmic Baseball is set to transform Sahlen Field in Buffalo into a glowing arena for two nights of special baseball games that coincide with the July 4th weekend. The event was arranged to fill the gap left by the Buffalo Bisons’ cancelled Independence Day Eve tradition.
More than 100 blacklights will bathe the stadium in vivid colors, while a massive fireworks finale promises one of the largest displays ever seen, outshining even the Super Bowl’s pyrotechnics. Fans are encouraged to wear neon and reflective clothing to fully embrace the glow‑in‑the‑dark atmosphere.
Organizers Brad Bisbing and Chris Martin have overseen the production, ensuring that the spectacle combines sport with a festive light show. Tickets for the Friday night game have already sold out, but a lottery will allow a limited number of supporters to attend Saturday’s match.
The Buffalo Bisons, whose usual celebration could not be held due to scheduling conflicts, will see their tradition replaced by this innovative community event, which aims to draw both baseball enthusiasts and families looking for a unique holiday experience.
