Practice Session Highlights from Chicagoland
The final practice session for the upcoming Chicagoland eero 400 saw a handful of drivers turn heads, setting the stage for a competitive weekend.
Tyler Reddick proved especially potent, posting the fastest 10‑lap, 15‑lap and 20‑lap averages on his second run, a testament to his consistency and raw speed.
Kyle Larson opened the session with blistering pace, claiming the quickest 5‑lap, 10‑lap and 15‑lap averages early on, and held onto second place in the 5‑lap segment by the end.
Denny Hamlin also found his rhythm, posting the fastest overall laps 13 through 17 roughly 15 minutes into the session, highlighting his late‑run strength.
William Byron, who started the day a bit tight, gradually shed that issue and climbed to fourth in the 10‑lap averages and third in the 15‑lap averages by the close.
Corey Heim rounded out the standout performances, securing third in the 10‑lap and 20‑lap averages, second in the 15‑lap and 25‑lap metrics, underscoring his balanced speed.
