A Strategic Refresh
The franchise has announced a sweeping transformation that blends a new coaching philosophy with a refreshed brand identity, aiming to reset the team's trajectory heading into the 2026 campaign.
At the helm of the football operations overhaul is General Manager Mike Borgonzi, who has been tasked with steering cultural change across the organization. His vision includes a modernized roster, upgraded facilities and a rebrand that aligns with the team's long‑term goals.
The coaching staff now reports to Robert Saleh, whose leadership brings a fresh tactical approach. Under Saleh, the team has added three key personnel: Bennie Contrino as Director of Strategy & Analytics, Jonathan Gress as Director of Rehabilitation & Reconditioning, and Charron Sumler as Director of Mental Wellness & Performance.
Contrino, Gress and Sumler will each bring specialized expertise to the roster, from data‑driven decision making to player health and mental conditioning. Their onboarding comes just weeks before rookies report on July 23 and veterans arrive on July 28, giving the new staff a brief window to settle into their roles.
The moves are part of a broader effort to modernize the franchise’s culture, with the organization emphasizing a holistic approach to player development and performance. This rebranding effort reflects a commitment to both on‑field competitiveness and off‑field community engagement.
