A New Season Begins
The 2026‑27 women's hockey season opens with the Women's Euro Hockey Tour, a compact August schedule that brings together the top European programmes in a round‑robin format.
The inaugural leg takes place in Kloten, Switzerland, from 19 to 22 August, where the host nation will face Finland, Sweden and Czechia in a tightly packed slate of matches.
After the Swiss leg, the tour moves north to Finland between 28 September and 4 October, then heads to Sweden from 28 October to 5 November, giving each squad a chance to test new line‑ups on consecutive weekends.
The competitive calendar culminates with the International Ice Hockey Federation's Women's World Championships, scheduled for 6‑16 November in Denmark, with games staged in the towns of Herning and Esbjerg.
Beyond the European circuit, Hockey Canada and USA Hockey are expected to arrange a series of Rivalry Series contests in September or October, adding a North‑American dimension to the autumn schedule.
