Florida State’s baseball program is set to welcome a new arm this offseason, as right‑hander Sebastian Lippman finalizes his move from Florida Gulf Coast University to Tallahassee.
Lippman arrives after a solid stint with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, where he redshirted in 2025 before transferring to FGCU, and later posted a 3.38 ERA across 21 appearances in 2026, striking out nine batters while holding opponents to a .219 average.
Pitching Depth Redefined
Though his hitting contributions were modest — going 1‑for‑16 with a home run and four walks — the coaching staff intends to keep him focused on pitching, a role in which he has already logged a career‑high 4.2 innings on two separate occasions.
The move marks the fifth transfer the Seminoles have secured this offseason and the second pitcher joining the rotation, alongside starter Cayden Suchy, signaling a deliberate effort to deepen the bullpen.
Alongside Lippman, the team has also added outfielder Ty Peeples, shortstop Cooper Malamazian and designated hitter Jackson McKenzie, completing a class of newcomers that could reshape the lineup.
