A New Era for the All‑Star Event
The 2026 NASCAR All‑Star Race will break new ground with a three‑segment, 350‑lap spectacle at Dover Motor Speedway, marking the first time the iconic event is staged at the Delaware venue.
Organizers have announced that the top 26 drivers will be inverted after the opening 75‑lap segment, and the field will be trimmed again after the second segment, leaving a final 200‑lap dash that will determine the winner.
Denny Hamlin will start from the pole position and is already assured a spot in the last stage, joining other race winners, former Cup champions and All‑Star alumni who have secured their places through performance and fan voting.
The remaining spots in the finale will be filled by a combination of average finishes from the first two segments and the winner of the fan vote, ensuring that on‑track results and supporter enthusiasm both play a role.
This year’s edition will be broadcast live on FS1, with the Performance Racing Network providing radio coverage and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio delivering a companion audio feed. Streaming will be available through HBO Max for in‑car camera angles, expanding the race’s digital reach.
Recent Dover winners add extra intrigue: Denny Hamlin captured the 2025 and 2024 victories, while Martin Truex Jr. won in 2023 and Chase Elliott took the 2022 edition, setting a competitive backdrop for the new format.
