Federal authorities announced the arrest of Kerr Kriisa, a veteran guard who concluded a six‑year college career spanning Arizona, West Virginia, Kentucky and Cincinnati, on charges related to an alleged fraud scheme that reportedly spanned his final season at West Virginia.
Kriisa is currently detained at the Fayette County Detention Center in Lexington, Kentucky, where officials confirmed his arrest on July 3. He remains in custody as officials prepare for his extradition to West Virginia, where the case is expected to move forward.

Collegiately, Kriisa appeared in nine games for the Wildcats during the 2024‑25 season before a season‑ending foot injury. He later transferred to Cincinnati, where he posted averages of 5.8 points and 3.0 assists over 19 appearances.
