Defensive miscues proved costly. The team committed a season‑high four errors, including a throwing misplay by Avery Ortiz that allowed Hyannis to plate runs. Coach Eric Beattie highlighted the need for sharper focus in the field.
On the mound, Connor Hamilton, Brison Tweedy and Nolan Bernard took the hill for Y‑D. While the pitching staff showed moments of promise, Bernard admitted he is still hunting consistency and a sharper fastball.
