Scott Livingstone, a former Texas A&M infielder, has been selected for the College Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2026, a honor that places the Aggie legend among the sport’s most celebrated alumni.
A Storied College Career
During his three‑year stint at Texas A&M he compiled a .342 career batting average, amassing 301 hits, 217 runs, 75 doubles, 50 home runs and 228 RBI in 241 games. He earned All‑Southwest Conference honors in 1985, 1987 and 1988, was named to the All‑SW Conference tournament team twice, and captured the Marion Pugh Most Valuable Player Award in 1987 while receiving consensus All‑America recognition. His 300th hit, 200th run and 200th RBI milestones remain unique in Aggie history, and he was inducted into the Texas A&M Athletic Hall of Fame in 1994.
MLB Journey and Legacy
Livingstone’s professional trajectory extended to eight seasons in Major League Baseball, where he appeared for the Detroit Tigers, San Diego Padres, St. Louis Cardinals and Montreal Expos. Drafted in the second round by the Tigers in 1988, he became a regular contributor before retiring after the 1996 season, leaving behind a résumé that blends collegiate dominance with steady major‑league presence.
Hall of Fame Ceremony in Overland Park
The 19th induction class of the College Baseball Hall of Fame will be celebrated in February 2027 in Overland Park, Kansas, where Livingstone will join fellow inductees before an audience of fans, historians and representatives from the College Baseball Foundation, Texas A&M University and USA Baseball.
