Eden Christian Academy Eyes WPIAL Baseball Crown
Eden Christian Academy entered the 2026 season as the clear favorite for the WPIAL Class A baseball championship, finishing the regular slate with an 8‑0 record in Section 3 and a 13‑4 overall mark. The Warriors concluded the year with a 10‑game winning streak, including four victories halted by the mercy rule, and outscored opponents 137‑69, averaging eight runs per game while limiting rivals to just four.
Coach Mark Feldman praised the squad’s preparation, noting the excitement of seeing the team ranked No. 1 by Trib HSSN all season. Senior Brady Hull led the offense with a .539 batting average, .575 on‑base percentage and .882 slugging percentage, amassing 41 hits in 76 at‑bats and driving in numerous runs. Alongside Hull, teammates such as Noah Emswiler, Brett Feldman, Josh Tilden, Luke Burford, Christian Watkins, Levi Parrott, Levi DeFazio and Andrew Sharpless contributed to a lineup that saw seven players finish above the .300 mark.
The pitching staff features a deep rotation anchored by ace Noah Emswiler, who posted six wins and 60 strikeouts, while Brett Feldman, Hull, DeFazio, Beck, Watkins and Bremmer round out the staff. Their collective effort was on display in a recent 5‑0 shutout of North Catholic, a final tune‑up before the playoffs.
A Legacy of Success
Eden’s recent history adds further intrigue: the program has reached both the WPIAL and PIAA championship games four times in the past five years and finished as state runner‑up for two consecutive seasons, compiling a 38‑5 record over that span. With only one senior starter lost to graduation, the Warriors enter the postseason with a blend of experience and fresh talent.
Now the focus shifts to the quarterfinals, where Eden will meet No. 8 Carmichaels, a team that advanced by defeating Sewickley Academy 7‑4. Parrott expressed confidence that the Warriors’ talent and skill set will allow them to prove themselves on the bigger stage, aiming to translate regular‑season dominance into a championship.
