Oregon’s Academic All‑America Class of 2025
High School Football America, in partnership with scoutSMART, has unveiled the sixth edition of its Oregon Academic All‑America team, spotlighting student‑athletes who maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or higher while being key contributors on their varsity football squads.
The recognition is powered by scoutSMART’s proprietary evaluation platform, which assigns each player a FIT Score that blends statistical performance, on‑field skills and academic achievement. This metric equips college coaches across the country with a concise snapshot of a recruit’s overall readiness.
Eligibility required a minimum GPA of 3.7 or a score of 92 on a 0‑to‑100 scale, ensuring that honorees excel both in the classroom and on the gridiron. The program underscores a growing emphasis on holistic development in high school sports.
Spotlight on Local Standouts
Among the honorees are Bryson Walker of Cascade Christian, JT Girod from Central, Thatcher Clarno of Douglas, Traeger Healy from North Medford and Karoderick Smith of Tualatin. Each athlete represents a blend of competitive spirit and scholarly dedication that the organizers hope will inspire peers statewide.
The collaboration between High School Football America and scoutSMART illustrates how data‑driven tools can elevate the conversation around student‑athlete success, merging athletic prowess with academic rigor.
