Raiders' Saeger Shines in State Semifinals
Taavi Saeger, the 2026 Lakeshore Elite Girls Soccer Player of the Year, capped a breakout season by scoring all three goals in a 3‑2 victory during the WIAA Division 3 state semifinals, a performance that underscored her reputation for delivering in clutch moments.
Her 52 goals placed her second in the state, while her 125 total points made her the all‑time points leader for the Raiders, a milestone that reflects both her offensive versatility and her ability to influence games across the board.
Team Selections and Honors
The 2026 Lakeshore Elite Girls Soccer Team was assembled from schools across the region, including Kiel, Plymouth, Ozaukee, Random Lake, Manitowoc, Cedar Grove, Sheboygan, Sheboygan Falls, Oostburg, Kohler, Howards Grove, Elkhart Lake, Glenbeulah, New Holstein, Valders, and several other local programs.
Forwards on the roster included Kalli Knowles, Mya Schroeder and Sarah Bolchen, while midfielders featured Arden Getschman, Gracie Schmidt and Mya Grams. Defensive duties were shared by Abby Beaumont, Macy Bruggink and Avery Fieber, and Mya Langenfeld earned the distinction of goalkeeper.
