Boston University’s men’s ice hockey program celebrated a milestone this season as a record 22 players earned spots on the Hockey East All‑Academic Team for 2024‑25, each maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher throughout the year. The recognition underscores the Terriers’ long‑standing commitment to balancing rigorous academics with competitive athletics, a tradition that has seen at least eleven players honored annually for the past six years.
Repeat Honorees and First‑Year Standouts
Among the honorees, Aiden Celebrini, Mick Frechette and Max Lacroix joined an elite group of three‑time selections, reflecting sustained excellence both on the ice and in the classroom. Their consistent performance helped set a benchmark for younger teammates.
The cohort also includes a wave of first‑year players — Carter Amico, Jay Feldberg, Conrad Fondrk, Kyle Kim, Tynan Lawrence, Steven Luciano, Ben Merrill, Jonathan Morello, Ryder Ritchie, Charlie Trethewey, Malte Vass and Nick Roukounakis — who earned the distinction in their inaugural season, signaling a deep talent pipeline.
